I have studied fine art in the University of Ulster in Belfast 2000-4 and onto the MSC Art therapy Course in Queens University Belfast in 2006. I continued to develop my solo performance practice alongside teaching life class in South-eastern Regional college from 2006 – 2016. I have also been active in the arts sector and across multiple boards and involved with Pace Bene campaign for non – violence since 2020.More recently have taken on the role of secretary within the Performance Art organisation Bbeyond. Where I am consistently gaining new skills in admin, social media, website building and safeguarding policies, procedures, and practices.
My background in art as therapy has led to my engagement and with various Health, community, and social groups, collaborating with and leading workshops and projects across various charities and arts organisations, including Artlink - Fort Dunree Head peace charity, Charter for N.I. the Diamond Project, with Groups in East Belfast. Also working with Ps2 gallery, towards provision of assisted workspaces in Belfast for disabled artists.
My continued, mostly volunteer roles in the community have brought me into contact and collaborations with other artists, including Bronagh Lawson and Ngaire Jackson, where we continue to engage with residents and build practice in and around socially neglected areas of Belfast.
