Metaphors to symbolise the inner critical voice as a weapon in the depressive condition, the pins allude to the ways we keep ourselves stuck in an ever flowing world.
She arises from my tongue harshly, sharply with no remorse, no compassion. Hard faced and bitter, violent in words and actions. I contort as she reveals herself in tension and snapping sinews. Her presence diminishes and she begs for a homecoming, a welcome seat at the table.
